In living our mission to create home for older adults wherever they choose to live, we strive to empower our customers to live as independently as possible, whether they live without any supportive services and work out at the YMCA daily or live in our enhanced care suites and require 24/7 care.  Integral to this is our Ecumen Lifestyle Covenant, which helps our customers and our team members hone in on what's most important to each of our residents' lifestyle.

Assisted Living

Ecumen Lakeview Commons assisted living services are offered in studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom apartments.  Unlike some housing where a large up-front fee is required, we provide monthly rental housing and a la carte services, which provides maximum financial flexibility and affordability.

Monthly Fee Includes:

• Transportation for scheduled shopping and outings
• Social, spiritual and recreational programming

A la Carte Services:

No one size fits every person's needs and wants.  We provide a variety of a la carte services, so each person can shape the right fit for them.  Examples of a la carte services at Ecumen Lakeview Commons include:

Rehabilitation Services

Working with our partner RehabCare, which provides physical rehabiliative and physical therapy services across Ecumen, we provide on-site rehab services at Ecumen Lakeview Commons.  This provides convenience for our residents to do physical therapy in the comfort of their own home.

Memory Care

Innovative Leader in Memory Care

Ecumen is a leader in memory care.  That leadership includes creating one of the few senior housing communities nationally - Ecumen Prairie Lodge in Brooklyn Center - that serves people living with behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's disease, empowering them to live fully.  Ecumen also is taking a leadership role nationally in eliminating psychotropic drugs in long-term care.  This program called "Awakenings" in 2010 received a $4.2 million grant from the State of Minnesota.

Memory Care at Ecumen Lakeview Commons

At Ecumen Lakview Commons, we offer one bedroom apartments, which combine the kitchen, living room and sleeping area within an open floor arrangement.  These range in size from 458 to 633 square feet.  Our studio apartment, which ranges in size from 365 to 392 feet, combine the kitchen, living room area and sleeping area in the same area, while also featuring a private bathroom.

The following services and features are included in the monthly fee in addition to a variety of health care services:

• Three meals per day with dining assistance, plus snacks.
• Housekeeping, laundry and linen change as needed.
• 24-hour on-site resident assistance staff (each professional works with eight residents)
• Regularly scheduled social, physical, spiritual and recreational programs
• All utilities (heat, electric, central air conditioning, water and daily trash pick up)
• Local telephone service
• Basic cable television service
• Controlled access and secure environment

Health Care and Personal Assistance Services (Included in Monthly Fee)

• A personalized health care plan
• Daily Licensed Nurse visits
• Bathing and bathroom assistance
• Morning and evening dressing and grooming assistance
• Transfer assistance, e.g., from wheelchair into bed
• Nutritional support
• Medication managment

Enhanced Care Services

  Ecumen Lakeview Commons offer enhanced care for those who need a higher level of assistance.  Here we provide continuous personal care under the supervision of our 24/7 licensed nursing staff.  Each person has unique health care needs which change over time.  Our nurses consult with each resident and their family to design and individualized care plan.  From comfort checks to medication management, therapeutic exercise to bathing assistance, our staff support your personal health and well-being.  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ecumen At-Home Services

Many people enjoy living in Ecumen Lakeview Commons, but another option for many people is Ecumen at Home, which provides a variety of at-home services in the Twin Cities that serve people in their in own home outside of Ecumen Lakeview Commnos.
